Gas-supply preparation for a qualified installer

Manual-first gas-supply planning for ICW and INW units, without homeowner pressure adjustments.

Covered models: KNG199ICW, KNG150INW, KNG199INW

The shared INW manual covers KNG150INW and KNG199INW. KNG150INW is not listed in our current two-model catalog.

Safety comes first

If you smell gas, do not try to light an appliance, touch electrical switches or use a phone in the building. Call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone and follow their instructions. If the supplier cannot be reached, call the fire department. Installation and service belong to a qualified installer, service agency or gas supplier.

KNG199ICW: capacity and pressure are professional checks

The Gas Pipe Sizing Tables are reference tables only; the manual directs consulting the gas-pipe manufacturer for actual capacities. Measuring inlet gas pressure must only be performed by a licensed professional. If pressure is outside the acceptable range or excessive pressure drop occurs, contact the gas supplier or a qualified installer. Do not select a pipe size from a generic homeowner rule or adjust gas pressure yourself.

KNG150INW / KNG199INW: follow the gas-supply section

Installation and service require a qualified installer, service agency or gas supplier. Have that professional apply this manual’s Gas Supply, Leak Testing and Pressure Testing the Gas Supply System instructions to your installation. Do not repair or alter gas piping, burners or safety devices yourself.
