Default, range and scald risk
The factory setting and recommended starting point is 110°F. The range is 90–140°F. Hotter water increases scald risk: test water before use and supervise children or anyone needing assistance.

POWER and temperature buttons
Hold POWER for more than three seconds to turn the control ON or OFF. Use UP or DOWN to change temperature; holding a button adjusts continuously. While the unit is ON and in use, increases are limited to 122°F. To increase above 122°F, the manual says the heater must be shut off first. Decreases are not subject to that increase limit.

Set temperature versus actual temperature
With no flow the display shows the set temperature; with flow it shows actual temperature. Press UP or DOWN during flow to flash the set temperature for three seconds. The manual warns that high inlet temperature and a low setpoint can produce water hotter than the setting.
